Ron Wyatt’s Last Letter
Written June 27, 1999
Note: The following letter was written by Ron Wyatt just 5 weeks before his death. It was first published as part of a larger article written by Mary Nell Wyatt on January 9, 2000. She found it on Ron’s laptop computer a few months after his death. In this letter he covers some of his wishes as they relate to the work if it has to go forward without him.
During the past 20-some years of archaeological field work, we have experienced several surprises. Our staff has been busy doing presentations around the world sharing the wonderful things that God has chosen to reveal. In fact, we were scheduled well into the 1999’s lecture season. I was praying that the Lord would provide some means by which His revelations could be presented in a much more efficient manner.
In our staff conversations the subject of what would happen to the work if something happened to me had come up several times. But no firm decisions had been made. Well, something has now happened and is no longer just a matter of abstract discussion. As most of you are aware, there are several researchers and writers who work with us. It became necessary for us to arrange that the presentations already scheduled be made by these individuals.
So that we don’t get bogged down in details, I’ll mention them as a group. Our meetings are now being presented by Richard Rives, Marty Plott, Bill Fry, Dr. Jerry Niswonger and others, and have been met with as good success as when I personally did them. These men have been to most all of the sites of the discoveries and have participated in their investigation for many years. And, to my pleasant surprise, it turns out that the work is going forward and seems to be accelerating.
Just prior to my present illness, Marty Plott and I had made many presentations throughout Australia and New Zealand. We feel especially blessed that God has brought into the team men with new and very effective methods of making the discoveries available to more people, at a much faster rate than I had thought possible.
In the past, through local advertising such as radio, tv and newspaper, people were invited to come and see the evidences at our meetings. Our friend, Ross Patterson, a computer programmer in Australia, designed an 8 page full-color tabloid format newspaper that shows and tells about the evidences very quickly. These were sent out to our subscribers with our last newsletter. The issue you received was designed to publicize our meetings in Australia and New Zealand.
Ross recently made changes is this publication where it no longer advertises meetings, but is a self-contained newspaper designed to get the information out to the general public, including how to get the books and videos, information on our museum and how to arrange meetings in their area. We found that the audiences in Australia and New Zealand experienced an added dimension by being able to investigate the wonderful discoveries beforehand, and were completely receptive to the evidences when they came to the meetings.
Very soon, we hope to have a large supply of these newspapers printed up to make available to you at a low cost, in order for you to share these discoveries with as many people as possible.
The evidences that God’s work is being quickly finished are growing each day. And that as ancient Israel found themselves on the border of the promised land after the Exodus, so are we now on the border of the heavenly promised land. God is doing a "show and tell" presentation of the evidences of the complete reliability of His Holy Word. We are able to see the same places and events that the Israelites saw. God has provided the means, and the opportunity to share these evidences with everyone, thus, fulfilling the Gospel commission.
