2006 Noah’s Ark Tour
9 days. Optional Ararat Climb (additional 4 days)Our 2006 Noah’s Ark Tour looks to be the most informative and exciting ever. Our tour guide will be Zafer Onay and the tour coordinator this year will be Bill James. Bill’s nearly 20 years of study and interest with the Noah’s Ark site will add to an already exciting trip.
This will be the first time ASI will pick up all expenses with the exception of personal souvenirs and domestic flights within the U.S. going and returning. We will cover everything from your international flights until you return. This means you won’t need to change any funds once arriving in Istanbul unless you want to. This will be the trip itinerary for 2006.
6/19: Depart on international flight to Istanbul Turkey
6/20: Arrive in Istanbul. Check into hotel. Spend night for early flight to Van in morning.
6/21: Flight to city of Van – Tour bus will pick up.
Scheduled island tour – (boat ride) on lake Van.
Lunch in Van (sea side).
Stop at waterfall.
Travel to Dogubayazit – hotel check in
Freshen up for dinner.
6/22: After breakfast, travel to Visitor Center.
Introduction to Visitor Center – Zafer Onay.

6/23: After breakfast travel to Arzep – Visit with local village elder and family
Check out some of the anchor stones.
Visit the post-Flood home of Noah.
Visit the mineral springs.
Back to town for Lunch
Time for shopping & back to hotel to freshen up for early dinner
Turkish bath that evening. Back to Hotel
6/24: After breakfast head out to Ishak Pasha Palace
Early Lunch
Back to Ark site: Hike down to ark site.
Back to Hotel to freshen for dinner.
6/25: After breakfast travel to Van. Take flight back to Istanbul. Since you will get back in the early afternoon you can relax for a question and answer session and receive your complimentary copy of Henri Nissen’s book Noah’s Ark Uncovered.
6/26: Free Day in Istanbul. Day or half day tour. Also Turkish lire provided for meals. 35 mil/person for Lunch and Dinner
6/27: Leave for Home
The tour coordinator will be the person to contact if any problems occur. He will issue your return tickets at the appropriate time.
Items to Consider: You must have a valid passport. We will cover the visa charge. We strongly suggest drinking Coke or Pepsi with your meals
Items to Bring ? Advil or appropriate equivalent, Immodium, Band-aids, Long sleeve (light) jacket. One disposable camera will be provided with intro kit. (27 exp). Small baggies, hiking shoes, swim suit, medium to large plastic trash bag and any personal items.
Total cost for everything is $3,795 /per person. A $500.00 Deposit is required at registration. Total balance is due by June 5th 2006
